Yeah, so what, I am aBull; I like good stories! What really gets me excited is watching a stock go from around $5 to $24 dollars in a matter of a week! So I was looking around online trying to see where DNDN sits in the public eye and well to say the least there are a ton of people out there that believe that this stock is bunk! But I find this hard to believe.
So what happened? Well the long and short of the story, in my opinion, was that investors became frantic when the approval was extended. I mean I have seen some pretty bad cases of buyer’s remorse, but not like this. Okay, so the approval has been delayed, what is the big deal? I mean do you want this company to produce a bad drug that kills millions? Could you imagine the lawsuits then?
Cancer is the #2 leading cause of deaths in the United States. This is of course running closely with a heart disease. We have to admit it; we are completely infatuated with living forever. So if any drug provides some sort of relief or life extension, the public will be all over it. So what if Dendreon didn’t bump the immune system to shrink the tumor, what is has done is added months to ones life that is so valuable. But Dendreon primary focus is to keep cancer patients alive, not shrink tumors, that being said it looks as thought they are accomplishing their mission.
Because Dendreon is able to extend life and help build immunity, I am willing to bet that many will be this drug and FDA will approve this. One thing that Peter Lynch wrote was that he purchased what he saw everyday and what makes sense. We see cancer everyday and this makes sense!
